So, what does skin icing do, you may be wondering? This week’s beauty guide is all centered around skin icing. Is it a thing? Shall we hop on the skin icing train and just get on with it? You can even freeze green tea instead of water. Read more about the benefits of freezing ice tea and rubbing it on your face here.
I recently came across a skin icing trend, which I have known for some time through watching a friend swear by it.
I haven’t tried it yet but out of interest I did some research and came across a few benefits, confirmed by Dermatologists.
Here are some benefits which have been confirmed.
Redness Reduction
The uninvited pimples have a habit of turning your face red, it seems you can reduce the redness by rubbing some ice on your face. The best practice would be to cover the ice block with a cloth, to avoid placing the ice directly on your skin.
Reduces Swelling and Inflammation
On those days you wake up with a puffy face, you may want to try rubbing some ice on your face to reduce that. It happens to the best of us, so knowing there is a solution in the freezer is so cool.
Boosts Blood Circulation
Fancy a radiant skin? Rubbing ice on your face increases your blood circulation leaving you with radiant-looking skin. Try and let me know how that works out, I hate cold things on my face so I will have to watch others do it.
Instant glow
Who doesn’t like glowing skin? Raise your hand if you don’t so I can give you an awkward look for lying. I may have to get over myself and hop on this trend, I do appreciate glowing skin. I imagine the increased blood circulation due to rubbing ice on your face may play an important role in the instant glow.
